Executive Housekeeper
Reports to: Hotel Director
Supervises: Assistant Executive Housekeeper /Laundry Master
Responsibilities
·To oversee and maintain efficient Housekeeping operations in a daily basis including cleaning procedures and maintenance in guest areas and back of the house areas.
·Ensures timekeeping records for the department are accurately maintained and monitored.
·To train, coach, counsel and support the Housekeeping department staff.
·To conduct regular inspection of guest rooms, passageways, public and crew areas to ensure that standards are maintained.
·To monitor and develop the Work schedules, Section Plans and to conduct Performance Appraisals for the Housekeeping Department Staff.
·To ensure that any Maintenance issues in Guest areas are reported in a timely manner and that the work orders are followed up on accordingly.
·To order, receive and monitor all guest and crew linens on board.
·To monitor and control the inventory of all Housekeeping Lockers and pantries in conjunction with the Assistant Housekeepers and Housekeeping Supervisors.
·Conducts regular meetings or briefings with housekeeping management and other personnel.
Profile
·Ideally 5 years experience in the same role on similar class of ships
·Experience with high end hospitality/cruising operations desirable
·Excellent communication and managerial skills
·Strong time management skills; able to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines
·Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
·STCW certification
·Fluent knowledge of English; Arabic language knowledge highly desirable
