Information about vacancy 1st Officer (for Bulk Carrier):

Second-in-command of the vessel and head of the deck department, reporting to the Master. You will be responsible for cargo operations, stability, deck maintenance and safety, in line with SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM and ISPS. • Loading/discharge planning, IMSBC Code, grain loading
• Stability, hull stress and draft survey control
• Hold cleaning and hold inspection for the next cargo
• Ballast operations and BWM Convention compliance
• Hatch covers, cranes and deck machinery maintenance
• Navigation watchkeeping and bridge team management
• Deck crew leadership, safety drills and PMS
• PSC and vetting readiness
