Information about vacancy 2nd Engineer (for Tug boat):

The Second Engineer will play a key role in maintaining and operating the engineering systems on our offshore tugboats. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, this position involves ensuring that all mechanical and electrical equipment is functioning optimally and that all safety regulations are adhered to.
Key Responsibilities:*

- *Operational Duties:*
- Assist in the operation, maintenance, and repair of all onboard engineering systems, including propulsion machinery, generators, and auxiliary systems.
- Monitor engine performance and carry out regular inspections to identify and address any potential issues.
- Maintain and manage the engine room, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.

- *Maintenance & Repairs:*
- Execute planned maintenance schedules and keep accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems as needed.
- Assist with the overhaul and servicing of main engines, generators, and other critical equipment.

- *Safety & Compliance:*
- Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and company safety standards.
- Participate in safety drills and emergency procedures, assisting in the training of the engine room crew.
- Monitor environmental compliance, including fuel consumption and waste management.

- *Technical Documentation:*
- Maintain detailed logs and records of engine room activities, including fuel and lubricant usage, maintenance tasks, and any incidents.
- Report any malfunctions or issues to the Chief Engineer promptly and assist in the resolution.
