Technical Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Technical Manager to oversee and coordinate technical, operational, and maintenance-related activities for marine projects and vessels. The role is primarily office-based and will involve close coordination with vessel crews, clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable marine standards and e successful candidate will provide technical guidance, monitor project progress, coordinate engineering and maintenance activities, and ensure that vessels and marine assets remain operational, compliant, and fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate marine projects from planning through completion, ensuring technical, operational, commercial, and schedule requirements are vide technical management and support to vessels, marine assets, and project ordinate planned and corrective maintenance, repairs, upgrades, modifications, and technical inspections.
Review technical specifications, drawings, reports, quotations, and engineering ordinate with vessel Masters, Chief Engineers, superintendents, contractors, shipyards, suppliers, and service providers.
Monitor vessel condition, maintenance requirements, defects, and outstanding technical issues, ensuring timely follow-up and an and coordinate dry-docking, repairs, surveys, class inspections, and other technical projects as required.
Ensure compliance with applicable Class, Flag State, IMO, ISM, and other relevant maritime requirements.
Assist with procurement of technical equipment, spare parts, machinery, and services, including reviewing specifications and supplier quotations.
Monitor project budgets, schedules, resources, and deliverables and provide regular progress updates to entify technical and operational risks and implement appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
Review technical documentation and ensure proper records are maintained.
Support incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions where required.
Assist with preparation of technical scopes of work, tenders, RFQs, project plans, and technical nduct site, vessel, shipyard, or offshore visits when required.
Ensure all project activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures, HSE requirements, and applicable marine vide technical input and support to management on vessel performance, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and project requirements.

Requirements / Skills
Previous experience in marine technical management, vessel management, marine projects, shipyard, offshore, or maritime operations.
Strong understanding of vessel machinery, equipment, maintenance, repairs, and marine systems.
Familiarity with Class, Flag State, IMO, ISM, and maritime regulatory requirements.
Experience coordinating contractors, shipyards, suppliers, and technical service providers.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, manuals, reports, and engineering documentation.
Strong project coordination, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Good commercial awareness and experience reviewing technical quotations and procurement requirements.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management ficient in Microsoft Office and standard project/maintenance management systems.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
Willingness to travel to vessels, shipyards, ports, or project sites when required.

Preferred: Previous seagoing experience, relevant marine engineering certification, or experience working with offshore, towing, salvage, construction, or specialized vessels.
