Assists the Chief Engineer and Second Engineer in the safe and efficient operation of the engine room.
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of assigned machinery, including auxiliary engines, pumps, compressors, and other nducts routine inspections, maintenance, lubrication, and troubleshooting of machinery.
Participates in engine room watchkeeping and ensures machinery is operating within normal parameters.
Assists with bunkering, fuel and lube oil management, and related documentation.
Supports planned maintenance, repairs, drills, and emergency response duties.
Ensures the engine room and assigned equipment are maintained in a clean, safe, and operational condition.
