Captain (m/f/d)
For our vessel, we are looking at next opportunity for a Captain (m/f/d)



The Captain has the vessel ‘s command and the overall authority on board. He is responsible for all planning, organizing, coordinating, and supervising matters related but not limited to ship´s safety, operational health & safety, ship´s security, adherence to the timetable and compliance with environmental requirements as well as the quality of service offered to our customers. In addition to these responsibilities the Captain is carrying out representative duties for our Company.

Profile of Requirements:

Several years of professional experience as a Captain ideally gained on Ro-Ro passenger ships or comparable Ro-Ro ships
Sovereign management personality with excellent leadership skills
High level of service, discretion, assertiveness, commitment, flexibility, and team spirit
Economical / commercial skills
High professional competence, safety & security awareness
Extensive knowledge and experience in all areas of ship & cargo operation
In-depth knowledge of ship safety, ISM Code and ISPS
Sound knowledge of all national and international safety regulations
Independent and self-reliant action
The will to act as a role model and to accept a representative function
Very good knowledge of the English. German/Swedish/Polish skills are a plus.
Confident handling of the usual means of communication as well as in-depth knowledge of IT standard software (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook) and of purchase and maintenance programs
All valid certificates required by the STCW-Code, IGF advanced certificate advantageous
