The Electrical Engineer Officer is responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and safe operation of all electrical, electronic, and automation systems on board a crude oil tanker, reporting to the Chief Engineer, in full compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM, and company procedures. Minimum 1 contract as ETO on crude oil tankers. When you apply, please tell us where else you have applied or sent your CV (company names). Characteristics & Skills:
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of main and emergency switchboards, generators, and power-distribution systems;
• Servicing of electrical motors, drives, and control equipment throughout the vessel;
• Fault diagnosis and repair of instrumentation, PLCs, and automation/monitoring systems;
• Maintenance of cargo-related electrical systems, including pump-room equipment and Ex/intrinsically-safe fittings;
• Knowledge of high-voltage systems and safety procedures;
• Understanding of inert gas, tank-gauging, and cargo-monitoring electrical/electronic systems;
• Competence in planned maintenance systems (PMS) and spare-parts management.
