Requirements:


·Very good carpentry skills and experience working on-board vessels (can be cruise ships as well);
·Very good in varnish and painting and familiar with yacht specific products.
·Very good in touch up works in interior.
·Provide some picture with end results of his work;
·Capacity to produce proper reports to the interior manager or the yard for claim purposes.
·Excellent knowledge of teak decks system.
·To be happy to cover deckhand duties as required by Bosun.
·Certification as per yachts certification matrix, BST, SA, trade certificate for carpentry

His duties include but are not limited to the following:
immaculate state of all wood, walls, ceilings and furniture on board the yacht and the tenders. Cleaning, sanding, painting, varnishing, polishing of all deck hardware, woodwork and other surfaces. This requires a thorough knowledge of paints, polishes, varnishes and stains and their properties in marine conditions. This also requires a good knowledge of woods, marbles, metals and glasses. This will include cleaning and maintaining spas, Jacuzzis and swimming pools.
