Course introduction

This course focuses on the core principles of Bridge Resource Management (BRM), including situational awareness, communication, human factors, resource management, ship handling, and watchkeeping. Through extensive use of a Bridge Simulator, participants engage in realistic scenarios to develop both technical and managerial skills in line with modern navigation demands.

The course follows the STCW Convention (A-II/1, A-II/2, A-VIII/2) and IMO Model Courses 1.22 and 7.03, and integrates key industry frameworks such as ICMG, BCAV, TMSA, SIRE 2.0, and RISQ 3.1. It aims to enhance bridge team coordination and operational safety in accordance with international standards.
